Milan has its own Sistin Chapel which is not well known by tourists or artrlovers. It is in the church of San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore, a former convent of cloister which dates back to the Reform era and the Baroque artistic period. The church, which is a museum today is divided in two main parts.because the nuns obliged to be alone and with no contacts withe the public . The church itself was painted by several artists of the workshop of the pupils of the great Leonardo da Vinci, the greatest genius of the Italian Reinaissance. The ciicle of the section reserved to the nunses of the monastery are infact the work of Luini.The church is known by the Milanese but not by the tourists who come to Milan believing that the most important ipem is obviously il Duomo, But the Nilanese Sistin Chepel is something to be seen. And with your pleasure there are several littele places aeround able to feed you with a gourmet menu,
